Star-Telegram.com 05/21/2007 MySpace to give AG names of registered sex offenders: "MySpace.com will give the Texas attorney general's office names of all registered sex offenders in the state who have profiles on the social networking site, Attorney General Greg Abbott announced Monday.
Abbott requested the information to help law enforcement agencies track down sexual predators lurking online, a statement from his office said. MySpace recently put a software system in place to identify and remove sex offenders from its site, according to an Associated Press story last week. "
