So the immigration war in FB isn't about race, huh? | Dallas Morning News | News for Dallas, Texas | Carrollton/Farmers Branch News

So the immigration war in FB isn't about race, huh? Dallas Morning News News for Dallas, Texas Carrollton/Farmers Branch News: "The fate of the nation does not hinge on whether the voters of Farmers Branch support Ordinance 2903 next month. Whether it's voted up or down, life for the great majority of people who live there will not change appreciably. "

*** So according to this columnist the emails he receives obviously represent everyone.

On 3/27/07, I exchanged email with the columnist, Jacquielynn Floyd, explaining that not ALL residents of Farmers Branch who are Pro 2903 are racists. She accepted my input gracefully: "...thanks for your message. I believe there are thoughtful people - like you - on both sides of this debate who have reasoned and sincere arguments to make. Debate is a useful and constructive element of the process, unless it turns so ugly that it's no longer about policy than about people venting their fury.

"So I appreciate those, like you, who have the wisdom to keep the debate on the policy level."
