For your story on stolen stuff: 4 years ago my wallet was stolen at Target from my cart. It is on video. Also, the woman had made a return jsut prior to that, so we had a name and address. We also had her on video at a fast food restaruant trying to use my debit card. She used it at Foley's, and although she was oriental and I am not the salesperson did not question the fact that my picture on the debit card did not match her. The Dallas police would not follow up on any of this information. In 2005 items were stolen from my garage. I traced some of them down at a local pawn shop. I got the guy's name, address and license number (he was a frequent flyer at the pawn shops in town). I gave all this info. to the police and again they refused to follow up. The thieves know all this and have no incentive to stop.
