"I listen to you guys every day at lunch. I have always agreed with you on stuff - but this red light camera thing is ridiculous. Do you have a problem with the city enforcing the LAW?? Last time I checked, it was against the law to run a red light. Just like the last time I checked, it was against the law to be in this country illegally! What is the deal? Why are so many people being brainwashed into thinking that officials' enforcement of the law is against our rights????? Who cares if the city makes money off of it! It is against the law. "
***Oh stop it! Every law has restrictions on how it can be enforced. Things like the Constitution keep us from being illegally searched for example. We’re also guaranteed the right to cross examine our accuser…have you ever tried to cross examine a camera? How do you know the technology is sound? This is why they made it a civil offense. How do you enforce law civilly? If it’s a crime it should be enforced as a crime. Things are never as simple as you make them out to be. - Jay
