"Anyway, Jay, I thought I'd share my gift card haul for Christmas in case you want to do a little tidbit. I received 1 Wendys ($25), 1 Linens 'n 'Things ($25), 1 Office Depot ($20, and believe it or not I really like that one; someone knows me well), and 2 Target ($15 and $50). I hate Target.
Someone gave my dad, a major DIYer, a Home Depot card. While I'm sure he accepted with grace, he could spit nails. People are pretty polarized between Home Depot and Lowe's, and he's a Lowe's guy. I may buy it from him because I know he'll never go there, but I don't like Home Depot much, either."
